Indianapolis, IN, United States (AHN Sports) – Peyton Manning went 29-of-39 for 229 yards and a touchdown, and the Colts running game finally showed up as Indianapolis kept its playoff hopes alive with a crucial 34-24 win over AFC South Division rival Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday.

Manning avoided an interception for the second-straight game after tossing 11 in the previous three.

Second-year pro Donald Brown revived a running game that has been absent for much of the season, finishing with 14 carries for a career-high 129 yards and a score.

The Jaguars played catch-up most of the game, getting within 27-24 with under two minutes left, but their hopes were immediately shattered when Tyjuan Hagler returned the ensuing on-side kick 41 yards for a touchdown.

David Garrard finished 24-of-38 for 294 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, Maurice Jones-Drew finished with just 46 yards on 15 carries. The Colts held the NFL’s second leading rusher to under 100 yards for the first time in seven games.

Jacksonville (8-6) came into the game needing just a win to clinch its first playoff appearance since 2007 and their first division title since 1999. Instead, the Jaguars walked out of Lucas Oil Stadium tied with Indy atop the division with the Redskins (5-9) and Texans (5-9) left on the schedule.

Indianapolis (8-6) can clinch the division with wins over the two teams remaining on its schedule, Oakland (6-7) and Tennessee (6-8).
